Reporting outside professional activities just got easier for faculty in the David Geffen School of Medicine. A new web-based system called OATS (Outside Activity Tracking System) sponsored by DGSOM Academic Affairs and DGIT Computing Technologies Research Lab (CTRL) will allow faculty to report and track their outside earnings through an easy-to-use portal.
Gone are the days of tirelessly filling out paperwork, and manually tracking earnings. The new OATS system helps faculty members monitor how much they have earned, including how close they are to their earnings threshold, while making it easier to generate completed forms and submit reports for annual certification. OATS is being rolled out in Phases to the various departments within DGSOM for use by all Health Sciences Compensation Plan faculty.
