DGIT is Proud to Serve a Growing Community
I am thrilled to share that DGIT now serves the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, UCLA School of Dentistry, and UCLA School of Nursing. By bringing together expert IT staff from all of these schools, we enhance our mission to provide innovative technology and excellent service.
Our growing community will gain the benefits of a large IT organization, including 24/7, 365 days/year support, and access to secure, HIPAA-compliant services. To ensure we meet the IT needs of all of the schools, each school has a representative on our governance committees, as well as input and shared oversight of the DGIT project portfolio.
Projects related to the merger are expected to span the next two years, gradually improving and securing existing services and introducing new capabilities. As the transition to DGIT service progresses, updates will be provided on the DGIT website. Additionally, we will periodically solicit feedback in town halls, staff and faculty meetings, and surveys.

How does this affect IT service delivery?
Through the newly consolidated DGIT team, all IT clients will gain access to 24/7 support and a variety of new services. As DGIT’s largest team, Client Services is the hub for technology solutions for the Health Sciences schools’ students, faculty, and staff. Within Client Services, we have special teams comprised of customer care agents, desktop support technicians, business relationship managers (BRMs), and quality assurance engineering professionals.
